| TÜRKÇE ÖZET “Meşrutiyet Dönemi Türk Hikayesinde Tema (1908-1918)” başlıklı çalışmamızda, hikayeler yardımıyla Türk tarihinin modernleşme sürecindeki sosyal problemlere yönelik bir yaklaşım geliştirmeye çalıştık. Bu dönemle ilgili beş yüzden fazla süreli yayından yüz kırk sekizinde hikaye bulundu ve matbu kitaplarda yayımlanan hikayelerle birlikte toplam 1216 hikayeye ulaşıldı. Bir edebi tür olarak “hikaye” ya da bahsedilen dönem öncesi Türk hikayesi hakkında herhangi bir değerlendirme yapmadık. Çalışmanın temeli “hikayede tema “olduğu için “giriş” te temayı etkilediğine inandığımız dönemin genel edebi, tarihi, politik ve entelektüel atmosferi, sosyal hayatı; “birinci bölüm’de ise çalışmanın ana bölümünün desteğini oluşturan hikayelerin yapısı, hikayelerde zaman, mekan ve şahıs kadrosunu değerlendirdik. “İkinci bölüm”de, hikayeleri temalarına göre sınıflandırdık ve hikayeleri “sosyal” ve “bireysel” temalar olarak iki kısımda incelendik. Hikayelerde sosyal temanın, devre hakim olan savaştan kaynaklandığı gördük. Bireysel temaları ise, ağırlıklı olarak aşk teması temsil eder. Tespit edilen 1216 hikaye bibliyografyada, süreli yayınlar ve basılı kitaplarda yayımlananlar olmak üzere iki kategori altında listelendi. Kadın hakları, tesettür problemi, geleneksel ve modern eğitim arasındaki farklılık, harem problemi ve sosyal hayatta kadının yeriyle ilgili tartışmalarla; Trablusgarp, Balkan ve Birinci Dünya Savaşlarının hikayelerde önemli bir yer teşkil ettiğini gördük. Sert ekonomik dar boğazla karşı karşıya kalan ülkede yaşamaya çalışan insanlar, savaş vurguncuları ve on ayrı cephede savaşan insanlarımız bu hikayelerde yeniden canlandırılmaktadır. Bu. çalışmayla, küçük hikayelerin aynasından hareketle Osmanlıyı çöküş döneminde ve modernleşme sürecindeki Türk insanını gözlemleme fırsatı bulduk. | |||
| ABSTRACT in our study headed “Themes in Turkish Stories of the Constitutional Era (1908-1918)”, we attempted to get hold of an approach tovvards social problems in this sharpest period in the modernization process of the Turkish history with the help of stories. Öne hundred and forty-eight stories were found in the review of more than five hundred periodicals about this era, and the number of the stories amounted to 1216 tögether with the stories published in printed books. We did not make any evaluation about “the story” as a literary species ör about the Turkish story before the said era. Since the essential of the study was “theme in story”, an “Introduction” disclosing the historical, political, and intellectual atmosphere and social life and literatüre in general of the era that we believed to influence the theme, and a “Section Öne” opening the stories of the era with figures that we evaluated the structure of the story, and time, spatial, and persons in the stories as a whole constituted a support to the main part of the study. in “Section Two”, stories we had read were classified according to themes, and the stories vvere examined in two classes, namely as “social” and “individual” themes. it was seen that the social theme originafing from “war” dominated in the stories. individual theme has been represented largely “love”. in the bibliography, the 1216 stories we found were listed under two categories as those published in periodicals, and those published in printed books. Discussions about women’s rights, problem of hijab, discrepancy between traditional education and modern education, harem problem, and place of women in social life took important places in stories even during most intensive periods of Balkan War, Trablusgarb War and the First VVorld War. The severe economical bottleneck encountered in the country, people in the struggle of making a living, war profiteers, and our people exhausted when fighting in ten separate fronts vvere re-animated in these stories. VViththis study, we had the opportunity of observing the Ottomans within their collapsing period, and the Turkish people in modernizing process in the mirror of small stories. 419 | |||
