| Toplum içerisinde yer alan bireyleri istenilen bir yaşam düzeyine ulaştırma çabasının en etkili araçlarından birisi eğitimdir. Eğitim, bireylere, toplumun istediği davranışları ve ihtiyaç duyduğu davranış değişikliklerini kazandırma ve onların, toplumun içerisinde bulunduğu şartlara uyum sağlamalarını kolaylaştırma ve bunu gerçekleştirme görevleriyle yükümlüdür. Bu sayede eğitim, toplumun sosyal gelişmesini güçlendirerek var olan sorunlara çözüm bulmaya çalışmaktadır.Bir toplumda yaşayan bireylerin davranışları ve bireyler arası ilişkiler, içerisinde bulunulan dönemde yaşanan toplumsal değişmeyi yansıtır. Bu nedenle toplumsal değişim aile, ekonomi, din, siyaset, hukuk ve eğitim gibi toplumsal kurumlarda kendini gösterir.Toplumsal değişme özellikle 19. yüzyılda Avrupa’da başlayarak hızla yayılmıştır. Bu değişimden Ülkemizde etkilenmiştir. Ancak Batı’da yaşanan değişim ve dönüşüme uyum sağlama kolay olmamıştır. Uyum sağlama sürecinde ?Batı-Osmanlı? ikilemi ortaya çıkmış ve bunun sonucu olarak medeniyet, kültür ve zihniyet farklılığı noktasında bir takım sosyal sorunlar doğmuştur. Değerler sistemi etkilenmiş ve bunun sonucunda yaşanan toplumsal değişimler bir çok edebi esere konu olmuştur.O dönemin bir yazarı olan Yakup Kadri’de olaylardan etkilenmiş ve Balkan Savaşından Birinci Dünya Savaşına, Milli Mücadele’den yeni Türkiye Devleti’nin kuruluşuna ve 1950’li yılları kapsayan toplumsal hayatımızı çeşitli yönleri ile romanlarında kaleme almıştır.Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, yazılarında uslüba önem vermiştir. İyi bir gözlemci ve aynı zamanda iyi bir okur olan Yakup Kadri, mensur şiir, hikaye, tiyatro, roman, hatıra, anı, makale gibi çeşitli edebi türlerde eserler yazmıştır. Eserlerinde, Tanzimat ve sonrası yaşanan olaylar Batı medeniyeti ile karşılaşan insanımızın değişme çizgisi, nesillerin tartışmaları ve çatışmaları trajik bir şekilde dile getirmiştirToplumun sorunlarına duyarlı olan Yakup Kadri, özellikle önemini vurguladığımız eğitim konusunu eserlerinde ne derecede yansıtmaktadır? sorusundan yola çıkılarak hazırlanan çalışma ile bu sorunun cevabı aranmıştır.Eserlerinde daha çok Tanzimat’tan 1950’li yıllara kadar ülkemizde yaşanan sorunları ve toplumsal değişmeyi dile getiren Yakup Kadri, direk olarak eğitimle ilgili sorunlara eğilmemiş olmakla birlikte eğitimin bağlantıl olduğu değişen değerler, aile yapısı, aydın insanlar, din ve inanç gibi konular üzerinde durmuş ve bu çerçeveden eğitimin önemini vurgulamıştır. | |||
| One of the most effective tools for the individuals in society to reach the desired life standards is education. Education is responsible for the duties to gain the individuals behavioral changes according to society?s needs and demands; and to facilitate their harmony with the society?s conditions and to implement these. Thanks to this, education tries to find solutions for the potential problems by consolidating society?s social development.Behavior of individuals that live in a society and interpersonal relations, reflects the social change in that current period. For that reason, social change shows up in social institutions such as family, economy, religion, politics, law and education.Social change especially beginning from Europe in the 19th Century, rapidly spread out in our country, was affected by this change. However, it was not easy to blend with the change and the transformation in the West. ?West vs. Ottoman? dilemma came out and as a result of this, several social problems emerged on the point of civilization, culture, and mind diverseness. System of values was affected; and social changes that aroused as a result of this were issued in a lot of literary works.Yakup Kadri, who was a writer of that period, was affected by the events and wrote out our social life that includes 1950s with its various aspects start from Balkan war to 1st World War, from National Struggle to foundation of new Turkish Republic in his novels.Yakup Kadri, who was a good observer and at the same time a good reader, wrote literary works in various types such as prose poem, story, theatre, novel, memory, and article. In his works, he mentioned about events that took place during Reform (Tanzimat) and after Reform, change process of our people who met West Civilization, generation discussions and conflicts were mentioned in a tragic way.To what degree does Yakup Kadri, who was sensitive to society?s problems, reflect the theme of education in his works, which we especially emphasize its importance? This work is prepared by starting from this question and the answer of this question is searched.Yakup Kadri, who mostly mentioned about Reforms, social change and problems by 1950s, didn?t directly focus on educational problems; however, he put emphasis on the subjects related to education such as changing values, family structure, intellectual people, religion and faith; and he emphasized the importance of education on this aspect. | |||
