The target of this thesis is to examine the relationships that had occuredamong Turkey and Soviet Union. It is possible to see that the reasons lie down on thebasis of crisis lived from time to time among two states, is extended through thedepth of history. In 30 years period including 1923-1953 and ever the periods thatTurkish-Soviet friendship had the priority, the problems that are sourced by nationalprofits, geograpihic conditions, ideologic differences Armenians and many otherreasons didn?t let a long lasting friendship between Turkish – Soviet. The politicways that Soviet Union had followed aganist Turkey, has a great role on the basis ofthe crisis became between Turkish and Soviet.During the National Struggle periods, Soviet Union had always mentionedabout their requests whenever they had the opporittunity and after the war, SovietUnion had increased its pressure more and more on Turkey. Despite the SovietUnion pressure Turkey, had seen Soviet Union friendship as the basic edifice on itsexterior policy and had held the priority of refraining from Soviet Union on the pactsand even during the bad periods of the relationship between two states Turkey wasbeware of inspiring its neighbour country.After the Second World War, USA became aware of the communismprovided Soviet Union imperliaismus was a dengerous ideology and wanted to makea security circle by supporting some other countries including Turkey that felt thisdanger closely. The dictator management understanding of Stalin and the requests ofSoviet Union about Turkey, had accelerated Turkey?s integration with West and thisprocess had gone on after the death of Stalin.
